This gem of a holiday cottage is set in a quiet, secluded location, set amongst nature and a short distance from The Swansea and Gower Coast Path and the magnificent Rhossili Beach.

The cottage offers a tranquil retreat, providing guests with a sense of peace and privacy amidst the natural beauty of the surroundings.
With the nearest neighbours a few hundred metres away, and the nearest road half a mile away, the setting is both rural and peaceful.

About Clovercliff Holiday Cottage’s History
Clovercliff Holiday Cottage was constructed in the 1930s by the current owner’s grandparents.
Originally intended to foster a deep connection with nature for their children, the cottage was built away from the busyness of London.
The original owners were also involved in the beginnings of the Gower Society and in the campaign to have it made an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Serving as a cherished family retreat for 70 years, Clovercliff Cottage later transitioned to a self catering holiday rental propetty in the early 2000s.
Over the years, the cottage has undergone several updates and renovations, ensuring it continues to provide comfortable accommodation and modern amenities for guests.
The cottage now offers basic, yet comfortable accommodation for up to seven guests over three bedrooms, with modern cooking, washing and cleaning facilities.

Places to Explore and Visit Near Clovercliff Holiday Cottage
There are plenty of nearby attractions, many of which are within walking distance of Clovercliff cottage, accessible via the Swansea and Gower Coast path. The Cottage is an ideal location from which to explore the scenic coast of The Gower.
Clovercliff Holiday Cottage is only 100 meters from the scenic Swansea and Gower Coast Path which can be used to reach nearby beaches on foot.
The area of the Gower coast path closest to the holiday cottage is rural in nature, but leads to the busy seaside City of Swansea 18 miles away, with the seaside town of The Mumbles between the two.
Many of the stunning beaches mentioned below can be accessed via this picturesque coastal route, including Rhossili Beach, Mewslade Beach, and Ramsgrove Bay, each just a few miles’ walk away.
Around one mile from Clovercliff Holiday Cottage is Rhossili Beach, which stretches across 3 miles of sandy coastline, featuring dunes at its northern end and the iconic Worm’s Head to the south.
The expansive beach offers ample space for leisurely walks and stunning sea views, while its waves often attract surfing enthusiasts.
Rhossili beach was the first beach to be awarded Britain’s Best Beach by TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice for the second year running, not to mention the 3rd best beach in Europe, and 9th best in the world.
South of Rhossili Beach, Worms Head lies at the end of a natural causeway, which is submerged during high tide.
This unique formation features a natural blowhole on its Outer Head, which blows according to the sea currents and waves. Seals can often be seen on the rocks below the Inner Head.
A rugged, rural isolated locations for those that like to enjoy time with nature, but that also have a sense of adventure.
Checking tide times at the Coastguard hut before crossing the causeway is strongly advised as the causeway becomes fully submerged at high tide. Wearing rugged footwear is also a great option as the terrain underfoot (especially the causeway) us rugged and uneven.
Less than 1 kilometre away from Clovercliff holiday cottage, Mewslade Bay is the closest beach to Clovercliff holiday cottage. It’s location and access means that it’s not often busy, allowing visitors to enjoy it’s rural location with a sense of peace.
Mewslade Beach presents a blend of sandy stretches, rocky pools, and surfing possibilities. While not the largest of beaches, its diverse features provide ample entertainment for beach enthusiasts of various interests.
Mewslade beach can be reached in under 15 minutes on foot via the Gower Coast Path from Clovercliff cottage.
Fall Bay is one of the hardest beaches to reach on the Gower, so it’s often completely deserted, With both sandy and rocky areas, with a backdrop of cliffs Falls Bay offers superb coastal scenery. Fall bay is also popular with surfers and it can be walked to from the neighbouring Mewslade Bay at low tide.
Although the walk to Fall Bays is slightly further than the nearby Mewslade Bay, the spectacular scenery both to and from this beach make it well worth the effort.
Three Cliffs Bay and Oxwich are a 15 minute drive from Clovercliff holiday cottage. They are both well known in Gower and absolutely stunning beaches. Dogs are allowed on the beach all year, and it also has blue flag status, providing safe swimming in calmer waters.

Located around 3 miles from Clovercliff holiday cottage is Llangennith beach (a 3 mile stretch of sandy beach). With reliable surfing conditions Llangennith beach and Surf School is ideal for those looking to get started surfing or improve under the guidance of experienced instructors.
Llangennith Surf School offers fully qualified British Surfing Association coaches providing a variety of surfing lessons for individuals with varying experience in surfing.

Dedicated to conservation horticulture, science, education, leisure and the arts The National Botanic Garden of Wales is a place of international significance.
Highlights of the botanical gardens include the worlds largest single span greenhouse, Tropical Butterfly House, orchid-filled meadows, a National Nature Reserve, the British Bird of Prey Centre, children’s play areas, and a magical Gruffalo Trail.
